"Relaxing Weekend"

So Dan and I had decided to have a relaxing weekend this weekend. We've been traveling TONS and are just about sick of being away from home. We both decided that it was time to just spend a weekend at home, doing nothing.

That was until......my husband got it in his head that we needed to rearrange the living room! We've been talking about doing this for some time, months even, but haven't had the time or desire to do much about it. I came up with the layout I would like, and Dan, after measuring EVERYTHING decided my idea would work and decided we should just do it.

So Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm we starting our rearranging. It wasn't just rearranging though, it was also major cleaning. Ajay was quite fond of going behind things like the entertainment center, which was impossible to clean really well because of all the wires, so we got to wipe down everything in our living room.

It was very satisfying when it was done and it looks great and we both really love the new layout, but it kind of blew our "relaxing weekend", which I was really looking forward too. Oh, well, maybe next weekend.

Ankle Update

In March I had ankle surgery. I had broken off a part of my bone and had a chronic fracture in it as well. I had also pull some tendons in my ankle, so my ankle specialist Dr. Lee had to perform an "ankle stabilization" surgery. Which included putting some screws in the bone of my ankle.










The incision looked really bad at first but it looks 100 times better now.











Today however I was able to get rid of my surgical boot in favor of a lighter weight brace. It hurts a lot to wear it but I can wear a normal shoe again, which is kind of nice. Hopefully, I'll start driving again soon. I haven't driven in almost four months so I have to admit I'm a little nervous about it.

Dan and Nikki's Wedding

This weekend Dan and I were up to Minnesota...yes again! I think it's the fourth time in just a couple months, we're pretty traveled out.

This weekend it was to see Dan's friend Dan get married to a woman he met while vacationing in England. Nikki and her 15 year-old daughter Phillipa moved to the states just about a month or so ago. We're really happy for all three of them, they are going to be a great family.

I tried to take some good pictures but not many of them turned out as great as I had hoped.










We got a few nice shots hopefully Nikki and Dan will like. Congrats to both of you!
